This bed and breakfast is located in a quiet, out of the way New York village, but it is 100% worth a little extra driving.
My room was a beautiful blend of carved wood furniture, tray ceilings and chair rails, reminiscent of the past, but the fireplace had been modernized to gas, and turned on with the flip of a switch. The bathroom had a jetted tub and a rain head shower. The mattress was very, very comfortable.
I was relaxed and happy.
Breakfast the next morning was held in the beautiful solarium. A very generous buffet offered coffee, juices, teas, milk, and fruits such as oranges, grapes, and watermelon. (I haven't listed them all.) There was coffeecake (that was absolutely one of the tastiest I've ever eaten), as well as a wide variety of muffins, breads and cold cereals. That was just the start. I was also offered "made to order" eggs, omlettes, pancakes, French toast and hot cereal choices.
I was very happy. I would be delighted to go again and again.
